BELIEVE IN YOURSELF I learnt early in life, that If you believe in yourself when no one believes in you, you are sure to live your dreams; but if you dont believe in yourself even when the world believes in you, you are sure to fail. This is not just a principle to life; its a fact of life. A vivid illustration is the person of Oprah Winfrey. Oprah was abused by her uncle at an early age. She was likewise abandoned by her parents. She grew up not having that motherly care that every child at her age desired. Her grand mother took her up and taught her how to read and write. She compelled her to Sunday school classes every Sunday mornings. There, Oprah learnt the art of speaking, even as a child. In her words while other children sang and recited, I spoke. There, she discovered her enthusiasm for public speaking, and nothing would stop her, as she strove all the way to acquire the needed skills thatll build that passion. She kept on believing even when there seemed to be overwhelming challenges. Even with that kind of background, nothing deterred her from believing in what, lies inside of her. Now, Oprah ranks the richest black American woman on the surface of the earth. Her mouth amasses enormous wealth for her. The disapproval of other people is not as important as the disapproval you rub on your own self. Other peoples opinion of you is not a determining factor of your rising in life. You alone are accountable for what you make of your life. Therefore start believing in what you believe in. start believing in those dreams; those ambitions and passions; that innate ability.
