APPRECIATE YOURSELF You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection GAUTAMA BUDDHA Nobody can appreciate you like you. Its difficult for someone to see of you, what youve not seen of yourself. Peoples perception of you, is simply a perception of yourself. You are a reflection of your thoughts. One of the most vital and potent tool you possess as a youth is the ability to make yourself happy; The ability to love yourself; The ability to maximize what youve got inside of you and the ability to live as you. Lifes challenges have caused many to fall short of the understanding of who they really are. Many are beginning to doubt their own self worth and confidence because of the challenges they are faced with. The issue is not because one is faced with a challenge. People have actually failed in this area because they dont know how to handle their challenges. If you dont know how to handle situations around you, you may never know what it means to appreciate yourself, even the best of your abilities and efforts. Life is not a bed of roses. It is agreed that everyone has one thing or another that stands as a challenge to them. At the same time, a problem will not compound if you dont allow it. Problems or call it challenges has a way of multiplying itself. It all depends on an individuals approach and attitudes to problems as they come. Bobby Mc Ferry said it all, in life expect some troubles, but when you worry, you make it double. Dont worry! For instance, if one panics at the sight or sound of a problem; or if one is good at passing blames, complaining, feeling guilty and anxious at the sound or sight of problems, then there is a higher possibility of compounding the problems. The truth is that, every problem is handle-able if you can stop worrying about it and look inwards for possible solutions. Too many people see their problems as mountain that is bigger than life itself. By this perception, they accumulate bigger problems without knowing it. People take their problems at heart level, thats why it becomes difficult for them to overcome it on time. If we can grab the understanding that theres nothing happening in life that is uncommon, we are sure of a speedy victory. Therefore, communize your problems, and then youll be able to see the possibility and ease of overcoming it. Learn also to be in charge of situations at all times. When fear and fret is in view, victory is displaced. Therefore, learn to be courageous, even if actually you are not. Dont show fear and anxiety even at the face of any challenge. Thats what makes you superior to your problems. Even our challenges are afraid of our confidence and boldness. Remember, confidence is the conquerors backbone. Your attitude to life matters a lot in solving a problem. The difference between a happy man and a sad man is their attitudes to life. The happy man ignores his, while the sad man carries his on his head. Life always comes with challenges, and every challenge in life is meant to be faced. This boils down to the truth that if one must make a success out of his or her single days, one must possess a right attitude to life, which includes a right attitude to handling situations. Only then can you fully appreciate who you are and what God has made of you. You cannot truly appreciate someone else, not even God, until you learn how to appreciate your own self. Like AYN RAND said, the man who does not value himself cannot value anything or anyone. Mind you, I dont mean thinking high of yourself, but rather thinking right of yourself. Life may not be fair, the world may not be fair to you, but you can be fair to yourself. Harvey Feinstein said, never be bullied into silence, never allow yourself to be made a victim. Accept no ones definition of your life, but define yourself. In your own world, you are a king, a queen, better than Obama, Richer than Bill Gate. Until you learn to see these pictures in your minds eyes, you cannot experience it in reality. Remember, you cant give what you dont have. You cant love others, if you dont love yourself. This is the best time of your life to develop an attitude of appreciation for yourself, only then will you be able to show same to your partner when eventually married The reason most people feel dissatisfied, is because they dont appreciate themselves. They think God made a mistake at creation; because probably, they are too fat, too slim, their legs are not straight etc. They fail to appreciate their efforts. They dont believe in themselves. They dont trust their own judgment. They feel they are the worse of their kind. I am glad to let you know that God never made a mistake. He is perfect, so He made you perfect. The worst loneliness is to not be comfortable with yourself MARK TWAIN Therefore, from today, give God a credit for making you the way you are. Appreciate your looks, you physique, your shape, your abilities, intelligence, your concepts; appreciate your work progress, your carriage, your entire make-up as a person. Even if (you think) they are not well placed, appreciate it anyway. You are worth appreciating. Only you can make yourself happy satisfactorily. You might not be like the next door neighbour or that role model on T.V, but you do have something that when you nurture, it will outlive every part of you that might have been termed deformed. You are someone elses diva, the way you arse. If you feel you are different from every other person, then you are unique. The world today is full of too many similar people. People are looking for the ones that will stand out; the unique ones. They are looking for a difference. Be a positive difference. Have you observed that No matter how you are or look, once you are making a positive impact, people will want to model you, the way you do things, your style , how you speak, stand or gesticulate.etc, however, the problem is when you are different, sometimes you dont see the millions of people who accept you for what you are, all you notice is the person who doesnt.
